N95 Respiratory Mask Fit TestingFit Testing of Respiratory MasksGEM Health Care Services in response to emerging infectious diseases, like Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in March 2003, developed and has since preformed more than 10,000 institutional fit tests of the 3M N-95 Respirator Masks in eastern Ontario and western Quebec since the enhanced practices for health care providers and facilities were put into place by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. GEM Health Care Services N95 Mask Fit Testing program is based on the standards and procedures of the respiratory mask manufacturer (3M), the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Labour. They are also in conformity with the Canadian Standards Association and the National Institute of Safety and Health. Personal health protection clinics for the public in response to the influenza pandemic warnings of world health care authorities are also organized by GEM Health Care Services. The respiratory mask is a major component of our health protection program. The mask is fit tested to each individual in compliance with provincial health directives. GEM Health Care Services is able to send a team of trained Fit Testers to your location, or to conduct one on one tests in one of our locations. We also run our personal health protection clinics on an ongoing basis! To find more about what you can do, please contact any of our locations today! |
