GEM Health Care Services Inc. was founded in 1994 by Gaye E. Moffett RN, B.Sc.N., M.Ed. Today it is one of Canada’s largest independent health-care agencies.

The agency was one of the first of its kind to be accredited by the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA), which sets rigorous national standards.

GEM Health Care Services Inc. specializes in private, home and palliative care services. The company also provides nurses and other health care specialists for private duty, including supplemental staffing for institutional and governmental clients.

In 2001, it was awarded the Small Business of the Year Award by the Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.

GEM Health Care Services Inc. is also a member of the Ontario Home Care Association, Canadian HomeCare Association and the Canadian Association for Community Care.
